United Talent Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for a manufacturing facility in Statesville, NC. This is a great opportunity for candidates with strong electrical and industrial maintenance experience looking for long-term employment with competitive pay.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour DOE
- Shift: 1st Shift
Job Responsibilities
- Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment
- Read and interpret electrical codes, manuals, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and specifications
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment including conveyors, robots, and programmable controllers
- Troubleshoot and replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensors
- Diagnose and repair electronic components
- Assist with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs as needed
- Connect wiring and cables between machinery and equipment using hand tools and testing equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete special projects and additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and perform advanced math
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to multitask and shift priorities frequently
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Operational knowledge of common hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment
- Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs
- Must be available to work required Saturdays
- English speaking and comprehension required for safety purposes
Preferred Experience
- Electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Preventative maintenance
- Building maintenance experience
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair
Requirements
- background check and drug screen required
- Steel toe or composite toe shoes required (employee must provide)
