United Talent is immediately hiring a Maintenance Specialist for Charleston WV!
Job Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on residential buildings and facilities.
- Complete carpentry work including framing, drywall, flooring, doors, windows, cabinets, and trim installation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and circuit breakers.
- Repair and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, drains, water lines, and sewer systems.
- Service and repair appliances including refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, furnaces, and dishwashers.
- Perform interior and exterior building repairs, including roofing, concrete, masonry, fencing, gutters, and structural components.
- Prepare surfaces and complete painting, drywall finishing, and related repairs.
- Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with housing standards.
- Coordinate daily work assignments and assist in overseeing maintenance activities at assigned properties.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls on a rotating schedule.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, maintenance vehicles, and grounds equipment safely
Pay And Shift: Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm. Pay is $18.03
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related skilled trade.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general maintenance repairs.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Valid West Virginia driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor including climbing, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
