United Talent is immediately hiring Crisis Support Specialists for a respected organization in Charleston, WV. What You’ll Do
- Respond to incoming calls, texts, and chats from individuals seeking support, assistance, and community resources
- Provide compassionate, professional, and non-judgmental support
- Listen actively, assess individual needs, and gather accurate information
- Document interactions thoroughly and accurately in agency systems
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable policies and procedures
- Remain calm, focused, and effective during emotionally sensitive or high-stress situations
- Provide resource referrals and connect individuals with appropriate community services
- Follow established crisis intervention and escalation procedures
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure high-quality service
- Meet productivity, documentation, and quality standards
- Successfully complete all required training
Pay & Schedule
- $15–$20 per hour, based on experience
- Paid training: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Training typically lasts 4–6 weeks
- Primarily night shift opportunities are available after training
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM with 97%–100% accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent listening, problem-solving, and customer service abilities
- Ability to remain professional and composed during difficult conversations
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation
- Successfully pass a criminal background preferred
- Ability to pass required drug screening, including no THC due to federal funding requirements
