United Talent is immediately hiring an Applications Coordinator for a company in Charleston WV!
Job Duties Include
  • Interview applicants and explain eligibility requirements, admissions procedures, property locations, amenities, and services. 
  • Review completed applications to determine eligibility for public housing and tax credit programs according to HUD regulations and CKHA policies. 
  • Calculate household income and verify income documentation in compliance with HUD guidelines. 
  • Maintain accurate waiting lists and ensure applicants are properly placed according to application date, time, and qualifying preferences. 
  • Notify applicants of approval, waiting list placement, or denial decisions in writing. 
  • Maintain secure and organized applicant files, both paper and electronic. 
  • Monitor vacancy reports and provide eligible applicant files to property management in a timely manner. 
  • Coordinate applicant orientations and attend vacancy meetings. 
  • Assist with recruitment and advertising efforts when additional applicants are needed. 
  • Respond to inquiries from applicants and community members regarding housing opportunities. 
  • Prepare monthly and requested reports for management. 
  • Maintain compliance with Fair Housing Laws, HUD regulations, and CKHA policies. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 
 
Pay and Shift: Full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Pay is $15.89. 
Requirements: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Valid West Virginia driver’s license required. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an office or administrative environment, preferably related to leasing or occupancy. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. 
  • Strong organizational, customer service, communication, and time management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage frequent interruptions. 
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance when necessary and operate a company vehicle. 
  • This position is contingent upon grant funding availability.
