United Talent is immediately hiring an experienced Attorney in Charleston, WV!

This is a Direct Hire opportunity, and the client is looking for an attorney who can hit the ground running!

Responsibilities:

Assist other attorneys and staff with research and writing, bring appropriate cases to the law firm through your own efforts, and independently handle cases from sign-up to an optimum resolution whether by trial or settlement.
Supervise paralegals who support litigation; including ensuring the paralegals are successfully advancing the firm cases while reviewing their work, updating senior management about their progress, and assuming full responsibility for the outcome and meeting all deadlines.
Maintain an accurate record of the time and value you gave clients so you can analyze what worked and what didn't, as well as what you could do better in the future.
Arrange client meetings to discuss legal strategies, evaluate options, and work relentlessly to determine the best course of action.
Attain or surpass the essential performance metrics for the role.
Assign work to paralegals and legal assistants and monitor their progress while assuming full responsibility for the outcome and meeting all deadlines.

Salary: $95,000 – $120,000, with opportunities for heavy incentives

Requirements:

Awareness and understanding of the criteria for privacy and confidentiality.
Member of The State Bar of West Virgina
2 to 5 years of experience civil litigation
Must be computer savvy and be very familiar with Microsoft Office Products
Ability to work independently, but work well as a part of the firm team, including supporting more Senior Attorneys
Must possess superb writing, verbal, and research skills.
Solid problem-solving skills are required in order to work with clients, staff members, and other attorneys.
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school.
Proven experience practicing as an Attorney.
