United Talent is immediately hiring a Crisis Hotline Specialist for a company in Charleston WV!
Job Duties:
- Answer incoming calls, texts, and chats from individuals seeking assistance, support, and community resources.
- Provide compassionate, professional, and non-judgmental customer service.
- Listen actively and assess caller needs while gathering accurate information.
- Document interactions thoroughly and accurately in agency systems.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable policies and procedures.
- Remain calm and effective while handling emotionally sensitive or high-stress situations.
- Provide resource referrals and connect individuals with appropriate services.
- Follow established crisis intervention protocols and escalation procedures.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to ensure quality service delivery.
- Maintain productivity, documentation, and quality standards.
- Attend and successfully complete all required training.
Pay and Shift: Paid training conducted Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Training period typically lasts 4–6 weeks. Primarily night shift opportunities are available after training. Pay is $ 15 to 20 based on experience.
Requirements:
- Clear criminal background preferred.
- No violent criminal convictions.
- No sex offender charges or registry history.
- Ability to pass required drug screening, including no THC due to federal funding requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate Degree in a medical, behavioral health, human services, or related field preferred for PA Get Help positions.
- Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute with 97%–100% accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain professional and composed during difficult conversations.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
