Entry-Level Maintenance / Mechanic Technician

United Talent Staffing is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Entry-Level Maintenance / Mechanic Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a valued client. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has basic mechanical knowledge, and is eager to learn and develop new skills.
No extensive mechanical experience required! Our client is willing to train the right candidate and provide hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
Position Details
- Pay Rate: $18.00–$19.00 per hour, based on experience
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
Job Responsibilities
- Perform general equipment maintenance and minor mechanical repairs.
- Assist with hydraulic hose repairs and replacements.
- Complete routine oil changes and filter replacements.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment.
- Assist with basic hydraulic system and generator maintenance.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and identify potential equipment problems.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Follow established safety procedures and company maintenance guidelines.
- Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Major and specialized equipment repairs will be handled by outside service providers.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude and an understanding of common hand tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Willingness to learn new maintenance procedures and repair techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Dependable, motivated, and committed to workplace safety.
- Comfortable performing hands-on mechanical work.
- Previous experience with equipment maintenance, hydraulics, small engines, or general mechanical repairs is a plus, but not required.
