United Talent is immediately seeking a Equipment Operator for a company in Parkersburg WV!
Job Duties include:
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators or material handlers (with grapples/magnets/shears), skid steers, and loaders
- Load and unload inbound and outbound scrap materials
- Sort and move scrap metal to proper processing areas
- Feed processing equipment
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Work closely with yard staff, scale operators, and management
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
Pay and Shift: Monday – Friday 7:30am to 4pm. Pay is $16 – 18 per hour based on experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment required (scrap yard experience is a plus)
- Ability to safely operate equipment in tight, active yard conditions
- Strong awareness of surroundings and safety practices
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments year-round
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs when needed
- Valid driver’s license required
