Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems and equipment. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems.
- Conduct daily inspections and report equipment or facility issues.
- Complete preventative maintenance, including changing filters and servicing building systems.
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Maintain maintenance logs, inspections, and work orders.
- Coordinate with contractors for repairs and installations.
- Respond to facility emergencies and assist with safety procedures.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, man-lifts, and scissor lifts (training provided).
- Assist with general facility upkeep, including furniture moves and snow/ice removal as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 4–6 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions.
- Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- OSHA-10 certification preferred.
