United Talent is immediately hiring Facility technician Associates in the Hiram area!
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance, safety inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of facility and industrial equipment.
- Perform daily inspections of facility-related systems, equipment, and physical structures, including interior, exterior, roof, and platform areas.
- Identify and immediately report equipment, safety, or facility issues.
- Operate, monitor, and visually inspect building systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment including air handlers, exhaust fans, pumps, and other facility systems.
- Change air and water filters and perform other routine maintenance tasks.
- Perform minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs, including replacing light bulbs, repairing drywall, adjusting flushometers, replacing faucets, unclogging fixtures, replacing ceiling/floor/carpet tiles, and repairing or replacing door hardware.
- Use hand and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Record maintenance activities, inspections, meter readings, safety information, and equipment data in appropriate logs and computerized systems.
- Monitor equipment alarms and facility conditions and communicate any issues or changes.
- Communicate daily activities, equipment issues, and maintenance concerns to facilitate effective communication across shifts.
- Use computerized systems and software to complete work orders and manage maintenance tasks.
- Read and understand drawings, service manuals, and documentation for serviced equipment.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for repairs, maintenance, and installations.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations, including fire, evacuation, equipment failure, and other facility emergencies.
- Support moving furniture and cabinets, organizing shop areas, and snow/ice management as needed.
- Work independently or as part of a team on larger maintenance projects.
- Follow all company safety and environmental regulations and participate in required safety training.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including overtime, after-hours, and emergency call-in work.
Pay & Shift:
- 19.50/hour
- 2nd Shift
- Overtime, after-hours, and emergency call-in work may be required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- 4–6 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment required.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to understand drawings and service manuals for equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities and maintenance tasks at the same time.
- Ability to operate or become trained to operate a forklift, man-lift, and scissor lift.
- Ability to complete required training in forklift operation, lockout/tagout, SDS, ladder safety, emergency evacuation, and in-house OSHA training.
- OSHA-10 certification preferred.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
- Ability to walk extensively and stand or walk for up to 2 hours at a time.
- Ability to sit for less than 2 hours during an 8-hour workday.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 35 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Ability to lift or carry over 50 lbs. with mechanical or other assistance.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at heights, including on ladders, scaffolds, and high roofs.
- Ability to maintain balance while working at heights.
- Ability to frequently bend, kneel, squat, crawl, lift, reach overhead, push, and pull.
- Ability to work in small or confined spaces and around moving machinery, noise, dust, and odors.
