Lumber Puller – Hopwood, PA

United Talent is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Lumber Puller to join our team in the Hopwood, PA area.

✅ Responsibilities:

Pull lumber boards off the lumber pulling chain.
Place boards in designated racking according to species, grade, or length specifications.
Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
Provide general support to sawmill workers and equipment operators.
Perform cleaning duties throughout the facility, including:
- Sweeping, dusting, and general cleanup around machinery and work areas.
- Cleaning of office spaces, including emptying trash, wiping down surfaces, sweeping/mopping floors, and maintaining restrooms.
- Regularly inspect and clean outdoor work zones and surrounding site grounds.
Climb over and under equipment as necessary to ensure complete cleanup in hard-to-reach areas.
Follow all safety protocols and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Complete any additional work-related tasks as directed by mill or site management.

✅ Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good physical stamina; ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 75 lbs.
Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, and physically demanding environments.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Steel toe boots required.

Pay & Shift Info:

Pay: $16.89/hour
Shift:
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Hours subject to change based on facility needs.
