Lumber Stacker – Hopwood, PA
United Talent is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Lumber Puller to join our team in the Hopwood, PA area.
✅ Responsibilities:
- Pull lumber boards off the lumber pulling chain.
- Place boards in designated racking according to species, grade, or length specifications.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Provide general support to sawmill workers and equipment operators.
- Perform cleaning duties throughout the facility, including:
- Sweeping, dusting, and general cleanup around machinery and work areas.
- Cleaning of office spaces, including emptying trash, wiping down surfaces, sweeping/mopping floors, and maintaining restrooms.
- Regularly inspect and clean outdoor work zones and surrounding site grounds.
- Climb over and under equipment as necessary to ensure complete cleanup in hard-to-reach areas.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete any additional work-related tasks as directed by mill or site management.
✅ Requirements: No Sawmill Experience Needed Just a Willingness to learn!
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, and physically demanding environments.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Steel toe boots required.
Pay & Shift Info:
- Pay: $16.89/hour
- Shift:
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Hours subject to change based on facility needs.
