United Talent Staffing is seeking a Manager, Talent Acquistion & Compensation to join the Hope Gas team at their Morgantown, WV location.
The Manager, Talent Acquisition & Compensation, is instrumental in attracting top talent to the organization while ensuring competitive compensation packages. This role involves overseeing recruitment efforts, managing compensation programs, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to align talent acquisition and compensation strategies with business objectives. 
 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain high-quality candidates, utilizing a variety of recruitment channels and methods.
  • Lead the recruitment process from job posting to offer acceptance, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions and requirements tailored to specific roles.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze recruitment metrics, track key performance indicators, and optimize recruitment processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition, incorporating innovative techniques to enhance candidate experience and employer branding.
  • Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, vendors, and partners to supplement internal recruitment efforts as needed.
  • Develop a university and trade school relations program.
  • Develop and administer compensation programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking and analysis to evaluate the competitiveness of salary and incentive structures, making recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and finance to develop and manage annual budget allocations for compensation.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on compensation-related matters, including salary negotiations, job evaluations, and incentive programs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing compensation, staying updated on changes and recommending policy revisions as needed.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives related to talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to recruitment and compensation, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, integrating these principles into talent acquisition and compensation practices.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement strategies for succession planning, career development, and talent retention.

 
Supervisory Responsibilities: 
  • Serve as a People Leader with supervisory responsibilities. 
  • Develop, mentor, and coach team members as they work to achieve performance goals by utilizing leadership routines such as weekly check-ins, monthly team meetings, quarterly skills coaching and annual reviews.
  • Identify effective goals and objectives for the team and implement a plan to execute them.   


Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Capability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

 
Education and Work Experience: 
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, industrial relations, or related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition, total rewards, or related field is required.
  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR is preferred.
