United Talent is seeking a skilled 1st Shift Metal Fabricator for a Powder Springs, GA location.
This position is responsible for measuring, cutting, welding, and fabricating metal components using electric arc and shielding gas processes while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. This role will work on custom and prototype parts, often from shop drawings with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Select, measure, cut, weld, and fabricate metal materials according to specifications and shop drawings

Perform MIG welding with clean, consistent welds on steel components

Fabricate custom and prototype parts with minimal supervision

Prepare metal surfaces to ensure proper and safe welds
-
Inspect and test welds for strength and quality during and after completion
-
Operate fabrication equipment including press brake, shear, laser, and related machinery
-
Assist with fitting, measuring, cutting, and assembling metal components to specification
-
Determine appropriate gas ratios for welding applications
-
Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints accurately

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Follow all safety procedures and work instructions

Meet production goals and deadlines
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Pay & Shift
$18–$24 per hour, based on experience
1st Shift – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Qualifications:
-
Strong MIG welding experience required
-
Metal fabrication experience required
-
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
-
Experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brake, shear, or laser (or willingness to learn)

Powder coating experience is a plus

Strong understanding of welding safety practices

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Good communication and teamwork skills

Strong problem-solving ability

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Dependable with strong work ethic and punctuality

Willingness to learn and grow within the role
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to noise levels consistent with a metal shop environment. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The employee may also work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
