United Talent is seeking a skilled 1st Shift MIG Welder for a Powder Springs, GA location. This position is responsible for measuring, cutting, and assembling metal components using electric arc and shielding gas processes while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Select, measure, cut, and weld metal materials according to specifications
- Prepare metal surfaces to ensure proper and safe welds
- Inspect and test welds for strength and quality during and after completion
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and work instructions
- Determine appropriate gas ratios for welding applications
- Meet production goals and deadlines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Pay: 18/HR+ depending on experience
Shift: 8a-5pm
Qualifications:
- MIG welding experience preferred
- Powder Coating experience a plus
- Strong understanding of welding safety practices
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable with strong work ethic and punctuality
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
Working Condition:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to noise levels consistent with a metal shop environment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be required. Additionally, the employee may have to work in non-temperature-controlled environment.
