United Talent Staffing is currently recruiting a Paralegal for a respected mid-sized law firm in Charleston, WV. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, detail-oriented legal professional to join a firm that values collaboration, growth, and long-term career development. You’ll support multiple attorneys and play a vital role in managing litigation processes and providing exceptional trial support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs
- Manage litigation files, organize electronic case documents, and maintain document control
- Conduct legal research, compile timelines, and summarize medical and employment records
- Assist with trial preparation including exhibit and witness lists, binders, and chronologies
- Prepare for and support depositions and trial proceedings
- E-file legal documents with state and federal courts
- Maintain attorney calendars and track critical deadlines
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience required (litigation experience strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with defense litigation and paralegal/attorney billing practices
- Strong knowledge of civil discovery process and court rules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Windows 10 environment)
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced legal environment
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Paralegal Certificate preferred)
- 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office
- Prior experience summarizing records and supporting trial preparation preferred
