United Talent is seeking a Powder Coat Technician for a Powder Springs, GA location. This position is responsible for performing tasks within the powder coating process for metal parts and structures, ensuring an even, consistent, and high-quality finish.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare parts for the powder coating process, including masking
- Operate coating equipment such as spray booths, spray guns, and hoppers
- Perform system color changes as needed
- Inspect parts for quality defects
- Conduct in-process checks (product temperature, spray speed, etc.)
- Start up and shut down paint line
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Pay: 16-20/HR
Shift: 8a-5pm
Qualifications:
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Forklift experience preferred
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
Working Condition:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to noise levels consistent with a metal shop environment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be required. Additionally, the employee may have to work in non-temperature-controlled environment.
