Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operations and duties of utility service crew and vehicles
- Maintain records of water storage tank levels
- Record and report discrepancies with older and damaged meters
- Provide supervision during uninstallation and re-installation of old and new water service meters
- Diagnose and maintain record of areas where damaged pipes potentially cause service disruptions
- Operate and train crew to operate excavator, intended for digging ditches for new piping installations or replacing old piping connections
- Travel to different service areas with work crew per customer needs
- Maintain employee work agenda and project agendas while determining daily and weekly projects
- Participate in company trainings to effectively learn all duties
- Encourage all employees to participate in company trainings to obtain machinery and service certifications
Pay & Shift:
- Monday-Friday
- 8am-4:30pm
- Weekend on-call rotation with 4-5 other crew members
- (On-call at least once per month)
- Overtime available
- $24–29/hr depending on experience
Job Requirements:
- Must pass pre-employment drug and background screening
- Must have valid Driver License
- Must have clear Motor Vehicle Report
- Must be able to operate a backhoe excavator
- Supervisory or managerial experience preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure required
- Steel toed boots required
- Basic Technical or computer skills required
- Basic data entry skills preferred
- GED or High School Diploma required
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Must have strong reading, leadership and communication skills
